Treat the right pigment—not every brown spot

Brown spots can look similar while having different causes. Before cosmetic treatment, we assess the pattern, history, skin tone and recent changes. Suspicious, changing or medically concerning lesions are not treated cosmetically and should be assessed by an appropriate medical professional.

Concerns we may address

  • Sun-related spots and freckles
  • Selected benign pigmented lesions
  • Uneven-looking tone and dullness
  • Selected post-inflammatory discoloration after the trigger is controlled
  • Melasma only after careful assessment, with realistic expectations about recurrence and maintenance

How treatment is selected

PicoSure Pro and Elite iQ offer different ways to target selected pigment. Choice depends on depth, colour, location, skin tone, recent sun exposure and the risk of inflammation or rebound pigmentation. For some clients, a conservative staged plan, strict sun protection or no laser treatment is the safest recommendation.

Important expectations

Pigment may temporarily darken, crust or appear more visible before it fades. Additional sessions and ongoing sun protection may be required. Pigmentation can recur, especially with ultraviolet exposure, heat, hormones or inflammation. Results vary.
